Master's Message, Oct 2026

Brethren,

It is my pleasure to welcome everyone back to another month of labor and fellowship at Adelphoi Lodge No. 33.

Our October Stated Communication will be a particularly important evening for our Lodge, as we will have the honor of receiving the official visitation of our District Deputy Grand Master for the East Bay District, Right Worshipful Daniel Rzewuski, accompanied by his Master of Ceremonies, Worshipful Russell Lorenson, and the members of his suite.

I sincerely hope that all of our brethren will make every effort to attend and give our District Deputy Grand Master the warm welcome and support that he deserves. An official visitation is an important occasion for our Lodge, and I look forward to seeing a strong turnout from the brethren of Adelphoi.

AN EVENING OF BROTHERHOOD & FELLOWSHIP

Brother Ricardo Simoes has graciously arranged for Brother David Johnson to prepare a barbecue dinner for the brethren prior to the meeting.

Following dinner, during our Stated Communication, we will have an interesting presentation on barbecuing and the barbecue-truck business, giving us an opportunity to learn more about the craft, the equipment, and the business behind bringing barbecue to the public.

It promises to be an enjoyable evening of good food, fellowship, and a presentation that should be both informative and entertaining.

FELLOWCRAFT DEGREE

I would also like to provide the brethren with an update concerning our Fellowcraft candidate.

Unfortunately, we were unable to confer the Fellowcraft Degree last month because our candidate had not yet been able to attend an Entered Apprentice Forum within the required timeframe. I am pleased to report that our District Deputy Grand Master was able to arrange for him to attend a Forum this past Monday, allowing us to now move forward with our plans for the Fellowcraft Degree.

We will therefore be preparing for the Fellowcraft Degree at our November meeting, and I encourage all brethren who are able to participate in the degree work to begin preparing now.

Brethren, October presents us with an excellent opportunity to demonstrate the strength and hospitality of Adelphoi Lodge. Let us come together in good numbers to welcome our District Deputy Grand Master and his suite, support the work of our Lodge, and enjoy an evening of Brotherly Love and fellowship.

Dinner will be served at 6:00 PM, with Lodge opening promptly at 7:00 PM.
